Flashdance the Musical

Among the greatest American successes of all the times, Flashdance is a 1983 romantic film that has touched the heart of millions people around the globe, portraying the world of music, dance and singing in a unique way.
Flashdance is the story of Alex, a young and determined girl who works in a factory during the day and dances in a nightclub at nights, with a dream of becoming a professional dancer and being accepted by the prestigious Shipley Dance Academy.
Flashdance the Musical is the theatrical transposition of the renowned film, and its strenght lies in two major points: the striking choreography and the catchy music of several hit songs, such as “Maniac” performed by Micheal Sembello, and “What a feeling” performed by Irene Cara and expressly written for the film.

You may see Flashdance the Musical in Rome from13th April to 22nd May at the Olympic Theatre (17, Piazza Gentile da Fabriano).
Producted by Stage Entertainment and under American director Glenn Casale supervision, Flashdance the Musical is directed by Federico Bellone, scenography by Alessandro Camera, choreography by Gail Davies, costumes for actors and performers by Francesca Schiavone and lighting by Valerio Tiberi.
